Roses could be tricky to grow. Or is that just a myth? We have a lot of insider information to share about one of our main crops here at the farm - garden roses! After a few hours at the farm, you’ll walk away with confidence, lots of practical information, and a beautiful new rose for your garden.

Join us at the farm on May 19, 2024, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. to learn how to select and grow beautiful garden roses in our cold climate. We will discuss different varieties that do best, how to choose roses that YOU would love growing in YOUR garden, and how to source the best plants from rose breeders and nurseries. We will then move on to year-round care such as planting, best organic practices for protecting your roses from pests and fungal damage, and fertilizing. Next, we’ll talk about yearly pruning routine, and cutting roses for bouquets and maximizing vase life.

Light refreshments will be served and each participant will receive a rose from our farm to plant in their garden.
